Peat-free Shropshire compost
01743 343403

If you want to make your Shropshire based garden, allotment or landscaping project as environmentally friendly as possible then "A Good Life" Compost is a great alternative to mass produced options. This high quality compost is peat-free, produced in North Shropshire and has low compost-miles.

A Good Life Compost gives nutrients and structure back to the soil, improving soil fertility. Adding a layer to your vegetable beds and flower borders will improve heavy clay soils or add organic matter to any soil type to promote healthy plant growth. It acts a slow release fertiliser and improves drainage and water retention within the soil. It is suitable for general garden use but we would not recommend using it as a potting compost.

Prices & "How much do I need for my garden, allotment, or landscaping project?"

We sell loose by the cubic metre (1000 litres) or in 30 litre bags. One cubic metre is approximately 0.75 tonnes.

30 litre bags of compost are £5.00 each.  One loose cubic metre of compost is £60, or £55 per cubic metre for over ten cubic metres. Delivery charge depends on distance and load. Request a quote.

One cubic metre will cover approximately 10 square metres of ground at a depth of 10cm, six square metres at a depth of 15cm or five square metres at a depth of 20cm.

We would really appreciate the 30 litre bags being returned so we can reuse them. Please print out a Return Label and post them back to us if you can or call us to collect.

We also have a supply of large paper bags/sacks that are great for use on no-dig beds.  If you would like some to be added free of charge to your compost order, please let us know.

“As a garden and landscaping company based in Shropshire we use E4environment’s compost in our clients’ gardens when building new beds or looking to improve the organic content of the existing soil. E4environment’s customer service and delivery is superb. I cannot recommend both the company and compost more highly.”
