A Good Life Compost - peat free compost made in Shropshire

Updated: Sep 1, 2022

If you want to make your garden as environmentally friendly as possible then A Good Life Compost is a great alternative to mass produced options. This high quality compost is peat-free, locally produced and has low compost-miles.

A Good Life Compost gives nutrients and structure back to the soil, improving soil fertility. Adding a layer to your vegetable beds and flower borders will improve heavy clay soils or add organic matter to any soil type to promote healthy plant growth. It acts a slow release fertiliser and improves drainage and water retention within the soil. It is suitable for general garden use but we would not recommend using it as a potting compost.

We can deliver directly to your garden or allotment. We prefer to deliver the compost loose, to maintain our environmentally friendly credentials, however we are able to transport in reusable compost bags should you require. You are also welcome to collect from our farm in Nesscliffe by prior arrangement.

Our 30 litre bags are stocked in Shropshire’s Own Shop in Longden (SY5 8EX); Churncote Farm Shop, Welshpool Road, (SY3 5EB); Hignetts in Pontesbury (SY5 0PS), Maynards Farm Shop, Weston-under-Redcastle (SY4 5LR) and Mynd DIY in Church Stretton (SY6 6BW). Please check availability before you go.

We have had some great feedback from our customers;

“I’m chuffed to bits with the compost, would hopefully like a top up in the autumn. Plants have never looked so healthy, both veg at back and flowers at front” Jan, Shrewsbury.

Many thanks for the delivery of the compost...great load which will be very useful in the creating of our new garden - Brian, Shrewsbury

“As a garden and landscaping company based in Shropshire we use E4environment’s compost in our clients’ gardens when building new beds or looking to improve the organic content of the existing soil. E4environment’s customer service and delivery is superb. I cannot recommend both the company and compost more highly.” Imi, Natural Habitats Gardening Company.

How much do you need?

We would really appreciate the bags being returned so we can reuse them. Please print out a Return Label and post them back to us if you can or call us to collect.
