More success at E4environment as two more planning applications are approved in Somerset and Cornwall.
The first is for a 1.3MW anaerobic digester plant at Tintinhull, Somerset. Working closely with South Somerset District Council and clarifying questions and concerns raised by the local Parish Council the application received approval at the end of August. Using a mixed feedstock of on-farm cow slurry, farmyard manure, chicken litter, beet, rye, maize and grass silage, the plant will produce a digestate which will be spread to land as a soil conditioner and biofertiliser and will produce electricity for export to the grid.
The second success is in getting approval for a storage facility to support the Anaerobic Digester at Penare in Cornwall. Again, working with Cornwall Council, Environmental Health, the Highways Agency and our client Greener for Life Energy Ltd, we were able to address the concerns raised to achieve the approval in August. The facility will provide storage for feedstock and digestate for the Penare AD plant which is currently under construction at Fraddon.
